Windows 10: Sudden change of windows 11 font

HiA few days ago I noticed that my recently upgraded laptop which now has windows 11 had its font changed. I didn't change it and unsure what could have caused the change. It is making the use of the laptop very difficult and I just want it changed back to the default.I have tried to reset the font back in the control panel to no avail. Can anyone please help here ? An example of what it now looks like can be seen below.

I found these steps in this forum from back in 2010:

Step 1:

I would suggest you to try these steps and check whether it helps in fixing your issue.

Open font settings by clicking on start, click on control panel, and then click on appearance and personalization, under fonts click on change font settings. And select the font size.

Step 2:

If you’re trying to change windows font size then please follow the steps below:

To change Windows fonts

1. Open Appearance Settings by clicking the Start button and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type window color, and then click Change window colors and
metrics.

2. In the Item list, click the part of Windows that you want to change the font for. For example, if you want to change the menu font, click Menu in the list. Then, make any of the following changes:

· In the Font list, click the font that you want to use.

· In the Size list, click the font size that you want.

· In the Color list, click the font color that you want.

3. Repeat these steps for each item that you want to make changes to, and then click OK.

Change menu fonts


Want to know the same thing as you.
M$ started with this in Internet Explorer 9 if i'm correct (could also been 8). All of a sudden i had fonts i didn't like. They seemed hardcoded into the browser itself.
Since i didn't found any way to changes these back to the Verdana Font i used and liked, i started using other browsers instead of Internet Explorer (first Opera, later FireFox, testing out all major browsers).
With Windows 7 and 8 they went a step further each time to make it more and more difficult to change these fonts.
With Windows 8 only a program like WinAeroTweaker or a registry hack worked (through WindowsMetrics) for all the fonts.
Since Windows 10 it does only work for 3th party stuff, all Windows related menu's etc... still have that dreaded Segoe UI font.
Didn't find a way around it yet either.

Wonder what will happen with Windows 11. Will they force their font on everything by then?
