    Sudden High Disk Usg-windows mod install worker


    No idea what is going up on here. Never was issue before. Taking up 33% of my drive process constantly, sometimes going up to 12.4 MB/s. Dism restore health command is also taking forever. Any idea how to fix ?

    The Windows Module Installer Worker sometimes occupies the CPU more than 50%.
    In this case, you can solve the problem by changing Windows update into manual mode. For the steps to do that, please click the link provided below.

    Did a little research. The Windows Mod Installer enables installation, modification, and removal of Windows updates and optional components.

    Any chance your machine was in the process of installing the Anniversary updates?

    You could try the Windows Trouble shooter. Type troubleshooting in Cortana search bar. It should poped to top of list. At the bottom of right window, Fix problems with Windows update. In window that opens click on advance to run as administrator.

    Not sure how this may interact with DISM task you have going.
