    Sudden Shut Down due to Check Disk


    I currently have an issue that has been plaguing me for a long time. Sometimes my laptop would just freeze for a bit but then resume as if nothing happens. But most of the time, it would result in a crash either a BSOD or none at all. It would then restart as if nothing happens.I check Event Viewer and as it turns out, Windows wants to do a Check Disk on the main drive without it notifying me or me doing anything. This would unmount the main drive and results in a crash or a hard reboot. Every time I reboot or switch it on from off power state, it would perform a Check Disk. I did manually pre

    Checking Disk Consistency

    Ok i did as viper suggested, but it stops checking at stage 3. It is still saying the drive is dirty, and still needs to be checked. I did a defrag and a disk cleanup, and suggestions?

    I'm having the Disk Check issue again. However, this time, I can't use Startup Repair to fix it. Can you address this?

    actually I was updating my pc and it was written that don't turn off your pc but due to sudden powercut it got off now all is fine and my pc is updated but whenever I switch on my pc it asks for a disk checking and also gives
    8 seconds time to skip disk checking and ask to press any key to skip disk checking shall i do the disk checking......

    Will it cause any harm to my pc
