    Suddenly cannot access MyCloud EX2 Ultra


    Suddnely, for no obvious reason, I am not able to access my MyCloud EX2 Ultra. I have the NAS configured as Drive W: and use it to store my video library. I use PLEX to access the files, but PLEX is not installed on the NAS, it is on my drive C:

    I can not access W: from MS File Explorer either.
    I can log into W: through the WD cloud service.

    I receive the error message: "You do not have permission to view or edit this object's permission settings" when I click on the properties from File Explorer.

    I am running Windows 10 v2004
    Desktop PC with i7 processor.
    WD MyCloud EX2 Ultra with 1TB used out of 4TB capacity. 2 x 4TB WD drives

    All functions were working fine for the past 3 years, and then suddenly I have no access.

    I recently purchased a new desktop running Windows 10 and also have two laptops running Windows 10/ I have a MyBookLive NAS already set up on our network. I recently purchased a new
    WD MyCloud EX2 Ultra NAS.

    All three Windows 10 laptops will not locate the new EX2 NAS but do locate the existing MyBookLive. Forums on the WD site with dozens of posts all seem to point to Windows 10 bugs or settings that are not allowing the EX2 to connect with others facing similar
    problems.

    Can't see EX2 in File Explorer

    I have also seen similar threads on the community forum but none located that are precisely as above with a new computer and new EX2 NAS (most threads are existing NAS drives whose links were broken when Windows was upgraded to Windows 10, and solutions
    there have not worked for me).

    Looking for any suggestions on where to go with this.

    Unable to access NAS (WD Mycloud)

    I recently acquired and installed a WD Mycloud for the purpose of backing up all my computers, including my company's notebook. I cannot get the company notebook (Win 10 Enterprise) to see the Mycloud device. It does see all the other devices on my home network. All my other Win 10 and Win 7 machines have no problem using the Mycloud.
    Things I have tried:

    None of this works. Now, I have at time seen the Mycloud on the network, which seemed to be related to enabling sharing and network discovery. However, even when I could see it, I still couldn't access it.

    Any other ideas?

    Wonder whats the diff. between the My Cloud EX2 and the EX2 Ultra? My EX2 has WD Reds as well. Maybe the Ultra uses the WD Red PRO disks?
