    Suddenly, F3 'New Desktop' overrides app F3 'Find Next' functionality


    Just today when running regedit, then other apps like VS, Notepad++ in Windows 10 Pro, I can confirm that since the last time I used F3 for editing 'Find Next' function like maybe a couple of days ago?, it is now overridden by the Windows F3 'New Desktop' function. I spent much more time than I like trying to find a way to return this basic program functionality, trying numerous gpedit and regedit changes in numerous areas found via google search; each one requiring a reboot, but all to no avail.Frankly, I find virtual desktops unhelpful even though I use my personal workstation for multi

    Did the F3 work properly and open the debug menu at some point in time ? If not, and you are using a laptop you may

    need to use the Fn key with F3.

    Does the default F3 function - 'search this page' - in an open app such as your browser work ?

    If not, your F3 key may be faulty. Try remapping debugging to another available F key in the games keyboard settings.

    Thank you for your time, but the problem still persists and f3 closes all the windows to the desktop screen after doing both steps

    I used asus vivo book s15.... suddenly i saw my f3 button is not working..all buttons are doing well without f3.. i also tried fn+f3..but still not working...what should I do??
