    Suddenly gone incredibly slow


    Win 10 x64 pro Overnight win10 has become impossibly slow (up to 10 seconds to load a program and often longer). No new programs installed, no viruses and sfc /scannow won't run even in safe mode, which was equally slow. Spent 48 hours trying to deal with this without a complete re-install - repair made no difference. No programs hogging resources. Hardware built for good speed with 4 SSD's. Temps OK and a new install on another disk runs normally. On the point of returning to Win 7 - Win 10 has annoyed me from the start and, frankly, this snail like behaviour comes as no surprise. Surprising answers would be appreciated

    Why did the startup window get cleared?

    I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

    Windows 10 incredibly slow boot times.

    Hi,

    After upgrading from windows 8.1 to windows 10 my computer suffers from incredibly slow boot times.

    It boots to a black screen with white loading circle in the middle, I have timed it and it takes 5 minutes plus to reach the logon screen from the black screen.

    Can anyone suggest what may be the problem?
