    Suggestion: Please pause the Onedrive UWP App updates in China. >_<


    I've heard someone complained about their OneDrive UWP app is unfunctional at all, then I figured it out they just updated their OneDrive app to the latest version which is basically a PWA framework app. And OneDrive web is strictly blocked accessing in China.


    Currently, I haven't update it. So this is my version. And it's functional well.

    The newer version is like this. Probably in the insider channel. But you can see the difference between the original one.

    At least, right now we could be able to use OneDrive app to do something that the desktop version can't do, such as folder or file sharing, downloading files in read-only sharing folder, modify the sharing settings etc.


    But those feature would not be able to complete once the newer PWA based OneDrive app pushed to us. Except by taking advantages from VPN-like software.

    Windows 10 - OneDrive

    Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

    If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

    Where is "Pause" on OneDrive?

    i get the menu you show: "view online", "settings", etc.

    But "Pause" is not on the menu.

    Please see the pic i posted.

    In my previous installation of OneDrive, OneDrive automatically paused sync'ing on a metered connection. Now it does not. It only suggests that i pause it myself. Plz see image in my first post, above.
