Windows 10: Suggestions on recovering data deleted by Media Creation Tool.

Hello, I recently installed Media Creation Tool on an 4TB ext. HD in it's own storage space with its own drive letter. After running the installation in that space, all of the other drive letters are gone and stating that the space is 32gb. Has anyone found a secure software that was able to recover drive directories, or is it suggested to do a data recovery on the entire disk? Also. Is it not possible to use Media Creation Tool to create a Windows machine on a hard drive with multiple drive letters? I know of Rufus win, Ethcher win,unix,linux, and EaseUse.Any software suggestions will b

There's a few tools to recover the data after the fact but I have never seen them work so I'm not going to recommend it for you. You need a backup solution of some type. Either invest in a disk imager, or snapshot software like Rollback Rx.

 

Windows Media Creation Tool Deleted Data

so I have a Portable Hard Drive, (WD My Passport Ultra), and while i was using media creation tool I accidently used this hard drive as the location to put windows 10 on. I realized too late and saw that all my stuff had been deleted and replaced with the media creation tool files, I panicked and just deleted these files and removed the hard drive. Now my hard drive is not only empty but it says its only 35 gb. I want to know if there is anything I can do to recover any files from the hard drive. Is it possible the files are in the computer the hard drive was plugged into ? Please help me out.
