Windows 10: Suggestions to install samsung 970 evo plus ssd and set as primary boot device on Alienware...

Hi All,

I'm trying to upgrade my Alienware 15 R2 with m.2 Samsung 970 Evo plus. For that after physically installing in M.2 slot I've used Samsung migration tool to clone data.

I'm not able to set ssd as primary boot device and use hdd for data as I'm unfamiliar with set up and not able to install Samsung nvme drivers as in process system pops up " Samsung NVM Express Device is not connected. Connect the device and try again." But the system is properly working on SSD by Physically disconnecting HDD.

Can anyone please help me with the proper installation and setup procedure of m.2 Samsung 970 Evo plus on Alienware 15 R2 and set it as primary boot device and use HDD for storage.

Samsung SSD 970 EVO M.2

Hi

I recently installed Samsung SSD 970 EVO M.2 on my Dell Inspiron 3268. Using Samsung Data migration tool, I copied my OS to SSD and wanted to make SSD as my boot drive, but is not getting shown up in BIOS as boot option.

I can see PCI as loaded in BIOS, can also see SSD in the maintenance of BIOS.

What am I missing?
