  1. supporting 2 networks on 1 computer

I have a new computer running windows 11 with a regular 1GB nic and a 10GB sfp+. I have installed BLUEIRIS camera software on this computer. It will be a dedicated camera server, supporting 20 or more 4k 25FPS cameras. I hope to be able to isolate the cameras from the rest of the office security and bandwidth into the 10GB fiber system and provide the web front end of the camera software to the regular 1gb network. In addition to the NICS, i will be using 2 router/switches 1 for building 1 and 1 for building 2 which then goes to the camera server. I want to know if there is a way

    :)

  2. 1 router 2 computers 2 networks glitch

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand the inconvenience caused. I will be glad to assist you with this.

When you set up a PC, a HomeGroup is created automatically. If a HomeGroup already exists on your home network, you can join it.

You mentioned that both the computes are in different networks. This could be the reason why you are unable to create the homegroup. Therefore, I would suggest you to first try to add both the PC to a single network and try creating the homegroup again.

Refer the steps given below to add a device or PC to a network and check if it helps.

-Plug the PC into a hub, switch, or router and then turn it on. (If your home has Ethernet wiring and you have a jack in the room where the PC is, you can plug the PC into the Ethernet jack instead.)

To make sure you added the PC, follow these steps:

    • Sign in to any PC on the network.

    • Press Windows key + E to open file explorer and click "network".

    • Make sure you see icons for the PC you added and for the other PCs and devices that are part of the network.

    Let us know the result.

Computers Vanished From File Explorer But Network Still Works

I agree with @Try3. I have tried every suggested method to fix Windows networking suggested on these forums. All at best only worked for a short time. The only things that helped was:
    1. Batch file I suggested in an earlier post
    2. Creating shortcuts to computers on my home network
Note these two things are not fixes but workaround. However, at least they help and have never failed. I have shortcuts set up for eight computers on my home network. I have created a folder on my desktop called My Network to hold the shortcuts. They have a mix of the following operating systems:
    • Windows 10 - 4
    • Windows 7 - 3
    • Windows XP - 1
