    Suppressing parental control messages

Hello fellow Windows 10 users, I have set the parental control for my son on my windows 10 computer. He has a warning message 15 minutes before time is up : "You only have 15 minutes". He has to click somewhere in the message to get past this message. The same happens 2 minutes before his time is up. It disturbs him while playing, to have to click on the message, for instance if he's doing something intense. If he's having a fight at this time, he can lose the fight. To compensate this drawback, I often give him 30 more minutes than needed. For instance, if he wants to play until 17 hours 30 minutes, I give him screen rights until 18 o'clock That way he no longer has these messages. I would like to know if the messages appearing 15 and 2 minutes before his time is up can be suppressed, since it is a disturbance to my son. Of course, this means that before / during playing he'll have to look at the parental control icon (at the right bottom of the screen, a bit on the left of time and date) to know what time is left, near the Onedrive icon. That's how he would prefer it to be, I wonder if there is a solution that may technically work. Thanks for trying to help,

    :)

    Parental Controls aren't working

    Hi,

The issue could be because of corrupted files. I suggest you to delete the corrupted files yourself and see if it helps

to resolve the issue, please follow these steps:

    1) Make sure your children are signed out of any monitored accounts.

    2) Sign in with an administrator account and find the folder that contains the corrupted files.

There are two ways to do this. The easiest way is to enter the complete file path:

    • On the Start screen, type C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Parental Controls and press Enter.

    • If you’d rather open each folder individually, follow these steps:
    a. Go to This PC

    b. Open C:, open the
ProgramData folder, open the Microsoft folder, open the
Windows folder, and open the Parental Controls folder.

    3) Delete all contents of the Parental Controls folder.

This will delete any corrupt files. Your settings will be downloaded again from familysafety.microsoft.com the next time you sign in.

Hope it helps. Reply with the result and I'll be happy to help you further. Thank you
