  1. Surface App Has No Menu Options

I recently purchased the HP Envy x360 2-in-1 laptop with the intention of using it with the Storyboarder program. I soon realized that despite the pen that came with the laptop having sensitivity levels as evidenced by line darkness/thickness responding to varying degrees of pressure, there was no means of adjusting them included in the laptop itself. As a result....

Same program, same tool, same color, but the right was done after importing the project to the new laptop. Storyboarder itself is working properly. Needless to say, the quality of my work... suffers for it.

Other users experiencing this issue with the same model, as well as the Microsoft website, stated that the Surface app would allow me to adjust sensitivity. The app states that it is compatible with my computer. I downloaded the app and, upon opening, received this screen:

Surface App Has No Menu Options 8582a2a2-f32b-4308-baff-25ba0be6183c?upload=true.png

The only options are Home which is this screen, Menu which opens but provides no additional options, and Info which lets me toggle Optional Diagnostic Data on and off. I haven't been able to find any information on how to fix this after hours of looking, which was complicated by the search terms being applicable to multiple items, even after utilizing boolean operators. I already spent an entire paycheck getting the laptop, I'd rather not have to pay an additional $35-$50 for another stylus that I have no guarantee will work as needed.

I hope this was enough information to troubleshoot. Thank you for your time.

    :)

Feature suggestions - move to proper menus, add Options window

    Suggestions:
    1) Remove main menus from top left menu (system menu) and move them to a standard Windows menu, at the top.
Leave the 6 system menu items (Restore --- Close) in system menu, move all the rest to that standard main menu. The main menu can be auto-hidable - pressing Alt key to invoke it or hide it, similar to the way IE11 menus and many Windows 10 built-in apps' menus work.

    2) And/or, add an Options menu or button, which would invoke a separate screen with GPU-Z Options, similar to how most Windows apps work.
Most Windows apps have a separate Options screen, which GPU-Z lacks - one should be added.

    Thanks in advance for listening!

Can I customize the list of suggest apps in the "Open with" menu?

    Yep, I see the same.

I tried adding Paint to Open With for txt. That also appeared in the More Options list.

I suspect it's to do with what the programs are registered to handle. The Open With list is constructed form a number of sources e.g. at least these:

The first of those corresponds to Snip & Sketch (simply search and find refs to the Appx string)

Surface App Has No Menu Options

Can I customize the list of suggest apps in the "Open with" menu?

Hi, FWIW, I found that Atlantis Word was already added to the Open With list for .pdf's - although it is incapable of opening them.
    (Is that so with Word?)

It did show in the Open With list, and when clicked stated it could not open the pdf except as a text file (or similar). I.e. it gave a sensible warning message.

I therefore chose to delete it from the Open With options for pdf. Why it was added I don't know.

In your case it seemed Word had been successfully added - you add an item, click to Save it, and then should see this confirmation:

Perhaps if a program not registered to handle an extension is added to the Open With list for that extension, it doesn't appear in the menu- would have to test that.

** Well, I tried adding Wordpad to the OW list for png, and it appeared in it, and attempted to open the file- garbage of course.

I wonder if Word might have appeared in the Choose another app list..

Example of a lot of options being presented (png)
