Windows 10: Surface Book 2 Keyboard/Trackpad - constantly conking out

Hi,

I had this problem last year before, and managed to fix it, but it appears to be back.

The keyboard and trackpad randomly stop working for a few seconds at a time, this can be just 5 seconds, or half a minute. I managed to fix this last time by rolling back an update, this doesn't seem to work this time as I don't have the offending update on my laptop.

It is driving me nuts and can make the laptop borderline unworkable.

Yesterday I had a message about USB devices not responding along with the dysfunction.

Just now it conked out again and then it acted like the shift key was being pushed when it came back.

It's very annoying, if anybody has a solution, please help.

Surface Book 2 trackpad ridiculously sensitive

I have a Surface Book 2 and the trackpad is ridiculously sensitive on it. A lot of people seem to be having this problem too as there are threads on the Microsoft community about it with no real answers.

Everything is up to date as far as Windows updates are concerned. I don't use an external mouse and I have the sensitivity of the trackpad set to low.

I'm wondering if anyone here experienced this issue and were able to solve it?

I have done all the diagnostic tests suggested by Microsoft, such as the Surface Diagnostic Test, and there are no problems with my computer.

any way to turn surface-pro/surface-book into fullscreen keyboard and touchpad when docked with two external displays?

I have a surface book and surface pro 3, and new surface docking station with two monitors+mouse+keyboard. I wondered if I could get rid of the mouse and keyboard, and instead use the tablet's touchscreen as a fullscreen keyboard and touchpad (just to experiment,
I will probably miss having the haptic mechanical keyboard feedback for fast typing). I think all I need is a mouse/keyboard fullscreen app, then I will set up the Surface display as an extended monitor below the two external monitors. Unfortunately I can't
find a fullscreen keyboard app that includes a trackpad/mouse emulator. Actually, I can't find any trackpad emulator (that allows the touchscreen and portion of display to control the pointer like a trackpad).

Any suggestions, has this been done before by anyone?
