Windows 10: Surface DTX on ThinkPad

Discus and support Surface DTX on ThinkPad in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; I have a Lenovo ThinkPad T480 that I have just reset completely, but for some reason it displays an icon for Surface Detach, which it says has failed...     Surface DTX on ThinkPad


    I have a Lenovo ThinkPad T480 that I have just reset completely, but for some reason it displays an icon for Surface Detach, which it says has failed obviously, since it isn't a Surface. I have no idea where this Surface software came from, and I can't find any way to remove it. Does anyone know how I can remove it?

    Surface DTX on ThinkPad

    "Surface Detach" Icon Removal on Surface Book Taskbar

    Hi,

    As per the description I understand that you are trying to remove the Surface detach icon from the Taskbar on your Surface device, we will help you with this issue.

    I suggest you to follow the below steps to disable it and check if it helps.

    You will have to disable the Surface DTX. Follow:

    • Press and hold (or right-click) the taskbar and select Task Manager.
    • In Task Manager, select the Startup tab.
    • Check if the Surface DTX status is shown as Disabled.
    • Close Task Manager.
    • Go to Start

      , and select
      Power > Restart to restart your Surface Book.
