Windows 10: Surface laptop no longer detecting both external monitors that are connected to the...

I own two 4k dell monitors that are plugged into the thunderbolt 4 DisplayPort. I use USB-C connection for everything. When the docking station is plugged into my surface 4 laptop not, both monitors wont extend. The laptop is only detecting one monitor at a time. How can I fix this issue?

External monitors no longer detected

Have been using 2 external monitors with my surface laptop via a surface dock, and as of today they are no longer detected.

 

Surface Laptop 3 with external monitor

Hi All,

Has anyone come across an issue with an external monitor blacking out while connected to a Surface Laptop 3? I have the laptop connected to a widescreen laptop with the Surface Dock. Both work fine however, once every hour or so the external monitor blacks out and comes back.

I've completed the following:

• Updated laptop drivers and firmware
  • Updated monitor drivers
  • Swapped out monitor

Windows No Longer Detects my External Monitors

For the past year, I have connected two external monitors, a keyboard, mouse and speakers to my laptop through a docking station. I ran Windows Defender for the first time this morning following the update to Windows 10 version 1083. I left my apartment
while Windows Defender performed a full scan. When I returned, Windows no longer detected either external monitor through the docking station. The mouse, speakers and keyboard still work though. When I disconnected one of the monitors from the docking station
and connected the monitor directly into the laptop, Windows does detect that monitor.

Is this a Microsoft bug?
