Windows 10: Surface mouse on new Ryzen PC goes into hybernation only after few seconds of idle.

Hi,

Surface mouse is giving me a messy user experience. It stops working after roughly 20s of idle. only to spring back to life after some movement making the use quite jagged and delayed for normal use to the point I'd rather use my old wired mouse.

Via devmgmt.msc I've disabled system from turning off Bluetooth devices however it doesn't seem to change anything and changing power usage doesn't do anything either to improve this. I've done some digging and I haven't found a viable solution to this problem.

new arc mouse not working with surface pro 2017

Hi Clyde,

Normally, this issue may occur due to the incompatibility of the driver or if there were settings that were not configured properly. We'd like to know if you're getting any error messages when trying to pair your mouse with your PC. Also, have you tried using
a different mouse on your Surface Pro 2017?

Stuck at OneDrive screen during Surface Pro 6 initial setup

Try the below suggested steps.

Method 1

1. Unplug all the external devices except Mouse and Keyboard.
   
2. Try to reboot the device and check the status of the issue.
   

Method 2

I would suggest you to perform Power drain by following the suggested steps.

1. Press and hold the Power Button down for 30-40 seconds.
   
2. Hold the Volume Rocker up and Power ON for almost 20 second.
   
3. Release the power button and wait for next 10-15 seconds.
   
4. Press the power button to turn on your Surface and check the status of the issue.
