Windows 10: Surface Pro 11 not charging when in sleep mode

My Surface Pro 11 has just been returned from being serviced for not turning on. I've started using it and found that it does not charge when left on sleep mode with the charger in, it only charges when it is awake/turned on. I have tried diagnostics toolkit, checking UEFI, power diagnostics. I had left my device to charge and it did not rise above 53% for hours, even decreasing in charge when plugged in.

Hi, thank you. I could restart my surface pro 4 but still could not fix the Surface Pro 4 screen not turn on after sleep. I am still looking forward to hearing more suggestions to fix the black screen after sleep.

 

How can i listen to music while Surface Pro 4 is sleeping?

Sleep is a power-saving state that allows a computer to quickly resume full-power operation (typically within several seconds) when you want to start working again. Putting your computer into the sleep state is like pausing a DVD player—the
computer immediately stops what it’s doing and is ready to start again when you want to resume working. In Sleep Mode you cannot listen to music.

Step 1: You may try the option turn off the display in power options, to turn off the display and listen to music.

To choose when Windows turns off the display:

• Type Power options in the search box on the task bar, and select the same
• On the Select a power plan page, in the task pane, click
  Choose when to turn off the display.
• On the Change settings for the plan page, next to Turn off the display, choose the display and sleep settings that you want to use.
• Click Save changes.

Surface Pro 2 not entering sleep mode after windows 10 upgrade

So, as the title states, since upgrading my surface pro 2 to windows 10, sleep mode is not happy. All the power settings are correct. Anyone else having this issue ? Any suggestions ?
