    Dear community


    I'm trying to reset my Surface Pro 2017 i5 using a recovery image .zip-File from https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/surfacerecoveryimage?OSMCSignIn=true&wa=wsignin1.0


    I created a USB recovery drive as explained but my Surface doesn't boot from it at all. I tried to change boot sequence in UEFI, I tried to boot having Secure Boot disabled etc.


    I also can't boot into USB using "Volume down + Power".


    I have tried severeal flash drives without success.


    Even if create a simple recovery drive without additional files, then I can't boot into it.

    I returned to Version 1909 after I updated to 2004 using the insider channels... So now, I run 1909. In the meanwhile I have to enter my BitLocker Key quite often propably because I disabled Secure Boot.

    Hello Jimmy, Surface Pro 2017: Can't boot from USB Storage :)

    This doesn't list the "Surface Laptop", but you might give it a try to see.

    *Arrow Boot Microsoft Surface from a USB device

    Otherwise, you should be able to use OPTION ONE below to boot from the USB from advanced startup.

    Surface pro 2017 stuck at boot

    The Linux GRUB bootloader may be interfering. I would always add linux to the Windows Boot Manager:
