Windows 10: Surface pro 4 would not let me access my admin account, forgot password and email to that...

I haven't used my computer since 2019 and this happened in 2020, so me and my boyfriend were going to access my computer and it asked for my pin but I had forgot it but I had the face recognition thing to access my computer with no problem at all. Then my boyfriend proceeds to say let's go to settings and change your pin and I said no it still recognizes my face after a year I don't need to change my pin then he says just in case you forget and I said fine. We go onto settings, we change the pin to our date we started dating and as soon as we were done it asked for the admin password, and I said I don't know my password I haven't used this in a year and he decided to say well turn it off and see if it works but I told him you need to change the pin if I put the password and he ignored and said to just see for our selves, so we turn it off and we put in the pin and it's not letting us in. And when I tried setting up the face recognition thing again it didn't fully complete because the computer turned off and it fully locked us out of my admin account without knowing the password to get in. I also do not know what email I used for that admin account and when we pressed to change password nothing would pop up. We would continuously click it and nothing would work until it said to put a usb to change the password which we don't have. We tried everything and searched up stuff and it didn't work. If someone sees this post now please help me out.

forgot password for account!!!!

forgot password for account!!!!

you know when you boot up your computer... and yeha i have more than one account and I forgot the password to one of them.

is there anyway for me to get in to the account? or the account will be perminant lock if i dont remember password?

Also registered email ID is *** Email address is removed for privacy *** (Admin), and I forgot admin password

Kindly help me in reset whole surface

Hi,

Thank you for posing your response.

As you are in a state were your account is completely inaccessible, I suggest that you try to access in build admin account and check if you are able to access the desktop.

To access the in built administrator account follow the steps below

Step 1: Follow the steps to enable Built-in Administrator account:

• As you are stuck min Safe Mode, in the sign-in
  screen, press and hold shift key and click on the
  power icon. Here click on Restart and then Restart now.
• Type: net user administrator /active:yes (To enable Built –in Administrator account give the command Active: No).
• Then press ENTER.

Step 2: From Built-in Administrator account give Administrator rights to your user account:

• Press Windows Key + X key and click Control Panel.
• Click on User account.
• Click on Manage another account.
• Click on your user account.
• Click on reset the password.
• Restart the computer and check if you are able to login.

Note: Once done exist the build in admin account by typing the command
net user administrator /active:no
