    Surface Pro 7 Casting NetFlix shows only subtitles


    I have a ChromeCast device plugged into my TV. I have been casting NetFlix to my Smart TV on my Surface Pro win11 via Chrome for ages. Recently I find I can only see Subtitles, no sound or picture. I have another Surface Pro with Win 10 which works ok.

    Cast To plays no subtitle

    Casting a movie to TV (Samsung 48HU7500) shows no subtitle.

    WMP does play subtitles on the laptop screen.

    Any idea?

    • I use Cast To Device option from Windows 10 pop-up menu (right click on the mp4 file) . I have also tried from within WMP directly: Start play, Go To Library, choose Cast To - but no subtitles on the TV.
    • TV can play subtitles normally. If I play a movie from USB memory stick it goes fine.
    • File format is .mp4
    The other day I found on the Internet sort of
    workaround    : a guy has found on his VAIO laptop VCagent.exe program that blocks port 9999, thus subtitles, and solved the problem. But I cant find something like that on my Toshiba Satellite.

    All the players play subtitles (VLC, WMP, MPC-HC x64) except Movies & TV player that came with Windows 10.

    Unable to Cast from Android to Surface Pro 7

    I am trying to cast my One Plus 8 Pro to my Surface Pro 7, but it times out during connection. I can get the One Plus 8 Pro to connect to my Dell Latitude 7400 2 in 1 and my Sony Bravia TV.

    One Plus 8 Pro running Android version 10, build Oxygen OS 10.5.10

    Surface Pro 7 running Win 10 1903, 18362.9

    Surface Pro 'Projecting to this PC Settings': Available Everywhere, First Time Only, First Time Only. Power Source: off.

    Bluetooth enabled. Same Wifi. Tried having the Surface Plugged in and unplugged. Continues to time out.

    Any suggestions?
