Windows 10: Surface Pro 7 touch problems with Edge and Chrome

I just bought a Surface 7 and had a 4 for years without problem. It came with Windows 10. I realized that when using websites on Edge or Chrome especially Reddit, scrolling would stop abruptly and it'd take a couple seconds to start working again. Same for clicking on links. Sometimes it just doesn't work until it does. This doesn't happen with Surface Pro 4I upgraded to Win11 and the problem still happens.Should I return it?

Surface Pro and Chrome touch screen problems

I've been having this problem since an update a few months ago.

I have a Surface Pro 3 and use Chrome as my browser. The touchscreen will work for a few minutes and then go crazy, acting like I'm right-clicking anytime I touch the screen, and not scrolling. The only way to get it to stop is to shut down and then re-launch
Chrome. It's driving me absolutely insane. Anyone have this problem/any solutions?

The Surface Pro may have encountered a driver conflict or a hardware issue. For us to isolate the issue, kindly answer the following questions:

• Have you made any recent changes to your computer prior to this issue?
• What is the current build and version of your Windows 10? To check type in
  winver on the search bar and press Enter.

Touch Screen problem with Surface Pro 3

See if it works in UEFI mode this could determine if it s hardware or windows issue

1. Select the Start button, and then select Power > Shut down.
2. When Surface is off, press and hold the volume up button and press the power button until a Microsoft or Surface logo appears onscreen.
3. Once you are in UEFI, touch your Surface screen and see if it responds normally. Try to navigate in UEFI by tapping various menu items. Then, depending on how your Surface responds to touch, follow one of these steps:

• If touch does not work on your Surface, your touchscreen most likely experienced a hardware failure. Go to
