Windows 10: surface pro not meeing minimum requirements?

My surface tablet is failing on the processorIntelR CoreTM i5-4200U CPU @ 1.60GHz 2.30 GHzthis is a microsoft built device that is above the minimum spec, why is it not on the approved list please?

Support for the Surface Connect to USB-C Adapter requires the installation of an update for the Surface System Aggregator Module prior to connecting the adapter to your Surface Pro or Surface Laptop device.

Surface Laptop:

The Surface System Aggregator Module update for Surface Laptop was previously made available on 15 May 2018. If your Surface Laptop is up-to-date with Windows Update or you have installed the 15 May 2018 update from the Microsoft Download Center, your Surface Connect to USB-C Adapter will work with your device out-of-the-box and no further action is required. If your device does not yet have this required update, please run Windows Update to update your device or install the latest drivers for Surface Laptop from the Microsoft Download Center.

The specific driver required for Surface Laptop devices to support the Surface Connect to USB-C Adapter is:

Surface System Aggregator v135.2139.257.0

Surface Pro (Model 1796):

The Surface System Aggregator Module update for Surface Pro (Model 1796) has not previously been made available and is now available via the Microsoft Download Center. To support the Surface Connect for USB-C Adapter on your Surface Pro device, you must download and install one of the following packages from the Surface Pro drivers and firmware page of the Microsoft Download Center:

The specific driver required for Surface Pro devices to support the Surface Connect to USB-C Adapter is:

Advice required - Post Upgrade - Suspect Pro 2 is Bricked

Thanks, though it looks like MS support suggest if can't get into the system recovery tools, then go ahead and download a recovery image - that sounds like my surface's issue.

The Falkland Islands are 300 miles off the South Eastern Argentine coast and the islands are great, it's an interesting and unusual place, a marine mammal and bird paradise...but the internet sux big time!!!

Before try that, have tried resetting the UEFI options?

To reset the Surface Pro to the default UEFI settings, follow these steps:

Press the Power button and the Volume Up button at same time while are starting the Surface Pro device.

Set Trusted Platform Module (TPM) to enabled.

Set Secure Boot Control to enabled.

Press Install Default Secure Boot keys.

Press Exit setup, and then save the changes.
