    Surface Pro Wake On Lan


    Hi all


    I am on a Surface Pro 6 running the 20H2 Windows 10 build.

    Plugged into Surface dock with ethernet cable and AC always powered.


    Trying to get Wake On Lan working on it.


    Have installed the WOL driver from Microsoft here:

    After installing this, have gone into Surface Ethernet adapter in the device manager and enabled all the WOL settings. No power management tab there.


    Tried Teamviewer WOL, https://www.mr-webb.co.uk/, and also Unified Remote all with no success.


    Any help on this would be awesome!


    Have seen some unsuccessful cases in the past few years but no recent ones, but none of the forums had a successful answer.

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    Just to clarify, you are unable to wake the computer up using the Wake on LAN tool, is that right?

    You mentioned the "allow this device to wake the computer" option in device manager. Did you check that option and save the changes? If not, please do so and check again.
