    I have a SP6 that i have used with an external monitor no problem. I connected a second external monitor via a hub not s-dock VGA and both monitors work but both also display the same content and there is nothing except desktop on tablet. went through settings numerous times but under win 10 display, it sees both monitors as one. two sceptre e20 led monitors. THX

    Surface Laptop 3 with external monitor

    Hi All,

    Has anyone come across an issue with an external monitor blacking out while connected to a Surface Laptop 3? I have the laptop connected to a widescreen laptop with the Surface Dock. Both work fine however, once every hour or so the external monitor blacks out and comes back.

    I've completed the following:

    • Updated laptop drivers and firmware
      • Updated monitor drivers
      • Swapped out monitor

    surface pro wont connect to monitor with hdmi

    I have used it with multiple monitors-tv’s. it has never been a problem for my older surface 3. Could you suggest me a display port i could buy?

    • What changes did you make in the BIOS? As making the changes in the BIOS is only recommended by Microsoft if done by the manufacturer.
    • How are you connecting to the 2nd monitor?
