Windows 10: Surfing the internet when Mozilla Firefox froze and gave me a black screen followed by blue...

Hi everyone, I was surfing a website when Mozilla froze for a long time and then gave me a black screen for many seconds. After that, a blue screen appeared and told me the device my Dell computer had to restart because of some critical error. I let it do that but the screen went black for over twenty minutes. I tried a hard reboot, then I waited five minutes and turned my machine back on and it gave me the following message:Checking Media Presence....Media Present....Start PXE over IPV4.Press ESC to abort PXE boot.So I waited a long time for it to do this. Mozilla just released the latest version of their oustanding internet browser. More specifically in version 2.0.0.5 Mozilla has corrected the following bugs.

• XPCNativeWrapper pollution
• Unauthorized access to wyciwyg:// documents
• Remote code execution by launching Firefox from Internet Explorer
• File type confusion due to %00 in name
• Privilege escallation using an event handler attached to an element not in the document
• Frame spoofing while window is loading
• XSS using addEventListener and setTimeout
• Crashes with evidence of memory corruption

Mozilla Firefox not working

Hi Nancy,

This might have caused due to any settings or compatibility issues.

As a first step, I suggest you to shutdown the computer as you did earlier. After an hour, try restarting the computer and then try to uninstall Mozilla Firefox and then try reinstalling it and check if the issues persists.

If still you are not able to uninstall it, then try contacting Firefox support for further assistance with this issue.

If you are able to uninstall Mozilla Firefox, then try installing the program in compatibility mode and check if it works for you.

Refer to the following Windows 8 article to install program in compatibility mode, the steps for Windows 8.1 applies to Windows 10 as well.
