Windows 10: Survey: 60Hz TVs running at 24Hz

It's not a secret that Blu-ray movies look better on 24Hz TVs. What surprised me was, though my TV's manual says it runs solely at 60Hz, and though I could connect via HDMI under Windows solely at 60Hz, I can switch my Sharp TV to 24Hz via a NVIDIA utility! ...And it does look better.

Are all so-called 60Hz TVs capable of 24Hz video display? What's your experience been?

Would this computer run a 50" tv monitor?

1080-60p and some 4k video editing will be the most stress it will see. That rating is only for 24Hz, what about 60Hz, or does that even apply?

 

Tv "display" flickering at 1080p@60Hz

Hello, I have an issue with a certain TV when I use it as a display using HDMI. The TV is T32TX287DLBPOSX-T2 by Telefunken. My laptop is an HP Notebook PC 15 (exact model unknown) and the specs are: AMD E1-6010 APU with AMD Radeon
R2 Graphics 1.35 GHz; RAM: 4.00 GB (3.45 GB usable). The recommended resolution is 1920x1080 and the automatically set frequency is 50Hz and I change it to 60Hz. At any available frequency above 30Hz at 1080p I get sparkles and the picture disappears at certain
points in videos or in certain positions in Minecraft. I have another TV and I tried it and the same settings (except the resolution, it's lower resolution so the max and recommended is 1366x768). If I change the resolution to 1366x768 (which is also the max
resolution of the laptop's display), it is all better at 60Hz (no previously mentioned problems). Since my mom and granny watch TV in the kitchen and I have this TV in the bedroom, so I can't go over to it to watch 60Hz YouTube videos and play Minecraft, plus
this TV has better audio. Please help! P.S. I think the cable is HDMI v1.4, it says High Speed on the cable and on the box it said High Speed plus Ethernet.

 

Need help with using HDTV as monitor @1080p/60hz

I'm getting choices as low as 480p (720x480) and as high as 1080p (1920x1080). Manual says the tv supports it, and Nvidia Control panel says that 1080p/60hz is the native for the tv. I can do stuff even though its only running at 1080p/24hz but I think the tv can (should) do better.
