Suspicious requests to sign in with codes & I'm unable to access certain things

Hello! So I've recently received two different emails from Microsoft giving me a code to sign in, about a week apart. However I never requested these codes. So I've tried checking sign in history, which firstly doesn't show any suspicious sign ins, but it also doesn't seem to show all sign ins after I sign in myself. Every time I sign in I'm using codes sent to my email as well. But the codes I'm getting are in the middle of the night and at times I'm not even logging in anywhere.I also checked all devices I'm logged into or could be logged into, but they all show my devices only. The first

  2. Suspicious sign in requests

    Hey there!

My name is Ravi, and I am an independent advisor. I am happy to help you. Suspicious requests to sign in with codes & I'm unable to access certain things :)

I understand how concerning it can be to see any suspicious activity.

I see you use VPNs quite often. It might one of the reasons because a VPN changes the IP address. That's why Microsoft records it as a new activity. If you get any sign-in approval, someone might be trying to access your account. But they can't do it without the Microsoft authenticator approval.

If your email address and all the other account security information is intact, your account is safe. The best thing to do is to keep changing the password frequently.

Feel free to get in touch again if you have any additional questions.

    Cheers,

    Ravi

  3. Unable to sign in to my account.

    Hello,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand your concern, in order to get more clarity and to assist you with appropriate troubleshooting steps please reply with the answer to the below question:

    1. Which accounts are you unable to sign in to?
    2. What happens when you try to sign in to your account?
    3. Are you seeing any error messages when you try to sign in to your PC?

If you are referring to the Microsoft account and if your Microsoft account has been compromised, it means that someone might be using your account to access your personal info or send spam. I suggest use the following guide to
get back into your account, review your personal info and settings, and help prevent this from happening again. Refer the article on

How to access a compromised Microsoft account
and try to reset your password. If the issue still persists you can follow the remaining steps mentioned in the article and check if that helps.

  4. Suspicious requests to sign in with codes & I'm unable to access certain things

Unable to access internet with certain programs

I have a Compaq Presario CQ62 running Windows 10. I am unable to access the internet with a couple programs. I downloaded the update from Windows 7 to 10. Everything runs fine but HP's support program and Print Shop V22.

I googled the problem and tried some of the suggestions listed, but I still can't access the internet. I am using Firefox and it connects fine along with Norton Internet Security. Any suggestions?
