Context: I have recently came upon some malware and have attempted to remove it from my computer. Then, I open "Windows Terminal" properties and I see some weird accounts: S-1-15-3-1024-363528341-2530182609-996808640-1887759898-384208603-331361687-983405619-2501854204S-1-15-3-1254322593-1477425798-152915232-702750859-81020123-3651049416-2875749711If I go further into "Owner" I set the owner to myself for now then go to advanced -> find now, I can see these accounts: Access Control Assistance OperatorsAdministratorAdministratorsAll Application PackagesAnonymous loginAuthenticated UsersAuth

Unknown User Account created after upgrading to windows 10. It comes back if I delete it.

    Original Title: Unknown User Account

    Hello,

Since I upgraded to Windows 10 I am seeing an account that I did NOT create. So I deleted it by going into Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > User Accounts > Manage Accounts then I click on the unknown user account and delete it. That said.... It
comes back. I have also followed the below suggestions from other posts and still does not seem to work.

Let’s try simple steps and check if the user account is detecting and try removing it.

    • Press Windows key + R, type netplwiz and press Enter.

    • Check if the user account is appearing on the list.

    • Click on user account and click on Remove. (If user account appear on the list).
    Please advise.

    Thank you

    Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:
    1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
    2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

    Suspicious Unknown Accounts

    unknown account

Hi I have noticed on all Documents/videos/photos in properties/security there is an unknown account as per screenshot. If I try to delete it ,I then get a message splash as per second screenshot. Is there a way to identify this "unknown account" and delete it. I investigated registry profile image path and it lists this account as myself-strange? Thanks I am using W10 21H1 Build19043
