Windows 10: swapfile.sys

Discus and support swapfile.sys in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; is it possible to download swapfile.sys because i am putting a new SSD in and it says there is a error and i cant have it continue without skipping...     is it possible to download swapfile.sys because i am putting a new SSD in and it says there is a error and i cant have it continue without skipping over the file. how important is it and can i just get raid of it. I am copying the C drive to the D drive

    Is it time to ditch the swapfile


    This may be because swapfile.sys does not exist in Windows 7. It was introduced (or reintroduced) in Windows 8.

    Swapfile

    Moving the swapfile to a different drive is o-l-d advice. Technology has come a long way since then. No reason for it now.

    There will always be a paging file on C: because that's where application software expects it to be.
