Windows 10: "Swipe right till the last screen" shown permanently on laptop screen when using external...

Since a Windows update within the past couple of months, when I connect my Asus Zenbook 15 to an external monitor via HDMI, with the display setting "Extend these displays", a gray semi-transparent rectangle appears at the top center of the laptop screen saying "Swipe right till the last screen to customize Task Groups" and continously looping a swiping animation. It usually doesn't appear when I've booted the laptop but after I've disconnected and reconnected the laptop from the monitor.


Running Windows 10 Home. The laptop is a touchscreen convertible; the swipe thing must have something to do with tablet mode or swiping support.


What I've tried:

Obviously I googled and searched the forum for the text shown in the rectangle and there are literally no hits.


I've trying fiddling around with different display and laptop mode settings but no joy.


A solution or any pointers to where to start looking would be welcome. I disconnect the laptop fro mthe display multiple times per day to step into a phone booth or what not so rebooting the laptop every time is not an option.

How to disable a laptop screen?

Closing it got rid of the laptop's display from being shown in the "Screen Resolution" list, so now it's just the two externals...but it still is saying Unable to Save Display Settings.

I would like suggestions and look in local stores. I dont wanna buy a laptop from someone online. Sorry. But could be a good idea if you asked him about the performance on older games. Gonna make a list ofall laptops people suggest me.

Remove the screen for space purpose here its small desk and if the screen is opened it will hide my 22 inches lcd

 

How to disable a laptop screen?

Windows 7, right clicking the desktop and selecting screen resolution. I selected the laptop screen and under "Multiple Displays" selected "Disconnect this display", so now I have it showing on only 1 external monitor, nothing else. At this point I thought I should be able to extend to the other monitor, but when I do it gives me unable to save display settings.

When I try and do it from nVidia control panel, there are five options...Laptop Display + Monitor 1, Monitor 1 + Laptop Display, Laptop Display + Monitor 2, Monitor 2 + Laptop Display, and "My display is not shown in the list"
