Windows 10: Switch to MS Account in WIN 10 - Tutorial

I was looking at the tutorial in re: to Switching to a MS Account from a local account.
My problem is I have a built-in "Administrator account" that cannot be switched to a MS Account (your warning). What can I do to move on? I imagine add a dummy local account?*Smile

This PC is under DESKTOP in My Files tree view

Can you right click any of the links under Desktop to see if they will remove as they often will if they're merely links which most are?

Another thing you can do is elevate your Local Account to Admin, change your account from MS Account to Local Account if it's not already, then move into the working Local Account, affiliate it with your MS account if desired:

Problems with installing programs

If you want to use the same Microsoft Account then make the one that uses it to Local and then change the Local to that Microsoft Account.

That's correct.

If you don't already have another administrator account on the PC that you could switch to a Microsoft account, you could add a new Microsoft account on the computer, and make it an administrator.
