Windows 10: Switching Users on Old Windows Machine

I have an old work station from a terminated employee. I cannot tell what version of windows it runs, but I suspect it is Windows 7. When it starts it asks for the old user's PIN. There is no option on screen to switch users, no "Switch User" option when I click on the power icon, and the "Forgot PIN" is tied to an outdated email address. No other users are setup on this machine, apparently. Restarting does not give any other options to log in as anyone else.I do not need access to that user's account, we just want to repurpose the machine. Is there a way to switch users without already being

  Click on Switch User.

  Select the user with which you want to login.
  

If computer starts up with a user other than the one you want, login to that user account and switch user to the account that you need and check.

Can't sign out or switch users in windows 10

• Press Alt+F4.
• This will open shut down window.
• Click the down arrow key and select Switch user from the list.
• Hit OK and it will show you other user account present on the PC.

• Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete key.
• Click on Switch User.
• Select the Microsoft account on the computer and try to logging in.

Note: You may need internet connection to access the Microsoft account.
