    Switching y and z around with the microsoft IME layout


    Hello, I am used to qwertz and it's messing with us that we can't use qwertz with IME, tried using MSKLC but when using the layout created with it, explorer just crashes. Is there any way to swap them around?

    Typing y instead z

    When I press y it types z , i tried a lot solutions but non of them worked, i checked in setting and there is shift + ctrl for changing keyboard layout but nothing happens when i do it, i also checked and its qwerty keyboard.

    Changing keyboard layout

    Hi,

    So I tried to create a custom keyboard layout. I'm German and know how to machine type on the German layout but since I write a lot in English I wanted to have ' and # swapped (in the standard German layout you have to press shift+# to get '). I downloaded
    MS keyboard layout manager 1.4 and swapped the keys and it works well.

    Then I decided to also swap z and y, essentially creating a QWERTY German layout, because reaching from ctrl to z in the QWERTZ layout is sometimes a hassle. Swapping y and z was not a problem, but now the keys still behave as their original y or z in combination
    with ctrl. I.e. if I press z, former y, I get the z, but ctrl+z, former y, still registers as ctrl+y, and vice versa. I can't wrap my head around it.

    Any ideas?
