Windows 10: Syberia 1 won't play on HP notebook

I'm trying to play Syberia 1 but all I get is a full screen black screen then it goes to a small screen.

my sister has downloaded syberia through gog I have myself downloaded several games through gog and am finding issues with syberia it says 3d accelerator not working these are new computers just bought have checked graphics all up to date. with myst I
can play the game save on exit but when I launch it to play again it starts me back at the beginning there is no saved point. I have to be honest i'm quite disappointed that I cannot load a lot of my game with windows 10 so have been trying to download and
rebuy my favourite games on to find them not work. please help someone.

 

microsoft store games won`t play

when I download a game from the Microsoft store it won`t play

the splash screen appears then goes

I have a core i5 with an nvidivia graphics card I tb hdd and 8 gb ram

I have tried the diagnostic for microsoft store and it say cache may need fixing.

 

Can't update the HP Pavilion Notebook.

I'm trying to update my system and am getting a message to delete HP Pavilion Notebook - BIOS manually as it is incompatible with the upgrade.

I can't find it to delete it. It's not in the Programs list with the other HP apps.

Any suggestions?
