Windows 10: Synaptics mouse 19.2.17.70 update will not load

Synaptics mouse 19.2.17.0 update will not load. I do manual updates and get the message that it loads, but next time I check foe update it is there again

Try Uninstalling your device first, restart and then Install again.

Step 1:

• Open device manager by right clicking This PC and select Manage. On the left pane, click the same.
• Under Mouse and pointing devices, right click the synaptics driver and click Uninstall.

Step 2:

Restart when prompted. Remember, Restart!

Step 3:

Install the synaptics driver again using the setup utility provided by the manufacturer

Installed Synaptics USB Mouse - I keep receiving a Notification that the driver cannot be updated. When I click on the notification, it takes me to the update now Windows screen, but clicking on "Update Now", does nothing.
And, I cannot get any response to emails sent to Synaptics !

 

Synaptic touchpad not working nor any mouse after windows 10 November update

My Dell xps15 L502 was upgraded with the November windows 10 update.

Following which my synaptic touch pad does not work nor does any mouse that I attach to the laptop

I have run the trouble-shooter also deinstalled the drivers and reinstalled them.

After the update the touchpad was descried as a Lenvo device, its a dell laptop. After deinstalling and reinstalling the driver it was recognised as a PS/2 Compatible mouse, but still not working.

After a lot of effort I installed the Synaptic PS/2 Port Touchpad drivers from Synaptic. The device is now recognised correctly but still not working.

I can see that there is a warning triangle against the symbol in device manager.

Opening the Properties for the device.

• in the General Tab I see the message "This device cannot start (Code 10). The device is not in a valid state to perform this request."
• in the Events tab, I can see the device was migrated at 4.41 am on 19 November which was when the November update was downloaded.

If I attempt to add a separate mouse the drivers download and indicate the device is working but, the mouse does not work. I have tried 2 mice and both work on my notebook.

My edition is windows 10 pro, version is 1511 and os build is 10586.11

The touchpad and mouse were working fine immediately before the update loaded on Thursday and the system was up to date with all update using auto update.
