Windows 10: Synaptics mouse software keeps resetting after restart - Win 10

Hello.

I rolled back to Synaptics 19.5.35.15, because on the new version there was no options to change the mouse behavior (changing the scrolling direction, etc.).

So with this old version I can change the behavior, but I have to reset it after every Win10 restart. I followed this solution from 2015 but it still keeps resetting: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...r-reboot/3b200150-8d9c-45a4-b500-fb7ebb2b1e60

Any solutions?


My machine is a HP bs.

synaptics Pointing Device Driver

Try Uninstalling your device first, restart and then Install again.

Step 1:

• Open device manager by right clicking This PC and select Manage. On the left pane, click the same.
• Under Mouse and pointing devices, right click the synaptics driver and click Uninstall.

Step 2:

Restart when prompted. Remember, Restart!

Step 3:

Install the synaptics driver again using the setup utility provided by the manufacturer

 

Synaptics touchpad windows 10 wont disable

Need to open "regedit" and change one key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Synaptics\SynTPEnh\DisableIntPDFeature

Value has to be 33 in hexadecimal and next restart will be deactivated.

If you rather prefer just for one user

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Synaptics\SynTPEnh\DisableIntPDFeature


If this is too much work for you, you can just create one file with the Notepad with this test in it:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\S*ynTPEnh]
"DisableIntPDFeature"=dword:00000033

And Save it as

Disabletouchpad.reg

(important to be .reg, no .txt for this to work)

And then just double click the file to put the in the Windows Registry

Synaptics driver update for Synaptics SMBus ClickPad - Error 0x800f0248

Hi,

This issue may occur due to the outdated Synaptic Touchpad
drivers. Try the below steps and check if it helps.

I would suggest you to download and install the latest Synaptic Touchpad drivers from the device manufacturer’s website and uninstall the Synaptic touchpad drivers and re-install the same again.

Note: Make sure you download and save the Touch Pad driver and installed it before uninstalling the same.

To uninstall Synaptic touchpad drivers, follow these steps:

• 
  Press Windows key + X and click on
  Device Manager.
  
• 
  Locate Mice and other pointing devices and expand the same.
  
• 
  Right-click the Synaptic driver and select
  Uninstall. (Note: keep the latest installed Synaptic driver)
  
• 
  Restart the computer, if prompted.
