Windows 10: Synaptics Touchpad not working on HP laptop after windows 11 updates.

I have an HP laptop, serial number 8CG8360CFJ. I switched to Dev channel just for fun. But after some days I got a new trackpad driver update but it failed to install. Here is a picture of it. And after that my synaptics touchpad stopped working, and the application for the trackpad crashes while I try to open it and then it showed a dialog box saying some other drivers are installed for the touchpad so we are uninstalling synaptics touchpad. i tried everything from upadting the drivers form Device manager to installing drivers from HP website, but non of this seems to work for me. Please help

the touch pad on my hp stream 11 stopped working with a windows 10 update. so to save time let me say that i have tried every driver download and fix on the internet. when i install the synaptics driver it tells me that everything is updated and ready for
use, but that is not the case. my touchpad is not even listed in the device manager. there is a synaptics pointing device driver listed in programs and features but when i try and delete it i get a run dll message that says the module could not be found so
there is some weird stuff going on.

Recently my laptop (HP Pavilion 15) was repaired because the display was not functioning correctly. When I got my laptop back I reinstalled Windows completely. After installation my operating system was Windows 8. I immediately updated to Windows 10 and
installed all updates that were available.

Using HP Support Assistant and Windows Update I updated all my drivers. Everything worked fine except my touchpad is not working any more. I can't move the cursor at all. I reinstalled the Synaptics driver(version 19.0.12.) multiple times but my touchpad
still not works. Besides that the touchpad is also not listed in Windows Device Manager. Is there a way that I can fix/troubleshoot this problem?

 

Synaptics touchpad - scrolling issues after Win7 to Win10 upgrade

My Samsung laptop has a Synaptics touchpad. Windows Update does not list or recommend any driver update for it, not even in the 'optional' list. If it did, I'd give it a go! For reasons of space and convenience, I don't use a separate mouse with a laptop. I'd rather use what's already there and built in - if I can.

The Samsung Support website offers a whole list of drivers for the RF511 - from Wifi and LAN to touchpad and battery-manager, as well as all the Samsung bloatware apps. But unhelpfully, does not always make clear which ones might be relevant. It offers two Touchpad drivers, neither labelled Synaptics. One is simply listed as v.4.1.0.0. of 20 Aug 2012, and the other as WXP v.4.6.0.0 of 28 Nov 2011. Neither seems to correspond or be in the same 'series' as the driver currently installed.

But the curious fact is that the present driver seems to work fine on my laptop. If it ain't broke, why mess with it? It's just that the scrolling doesn't play nicely with the Win10 Start Menu and the Settings pages. To me, that suggests it's an issue with Win10 - or those elements of it - not with the touchpad itself or its driver.
