Windows 10: Synaptics touchpad settings goes to default in reboot/shut down

Using windows 10, each time my PC sleeps or reboots touchpad settings are reset.


A quick search reveals this has been an issue for the start and despite many requests and complaints I can find no permanent fix.


Has anyone discovered how to ensure that once I set my touchpad settings they will remain as I set, please?

This issue might occur if the driver is not compatible with Windows 10.

To assist you better, please provide few details.

  Does Synaptics touchpad settings was working fine, before update?
  
• 
  Have you made any changes to the Computer, prior to the issue?
  

If Synaptics touchpad settings was working fine before update, then I suggest you to rollback the driver and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

• 
  Press Windows + r key on your keyboard to open run prompt.
  
• 
  Type devmgmt.msc and press Enter to open
  Device Manager.
  
• 
  Double-click the category containing your device driver, and then double-click the name of the device that you want to restore to a previous driver version.
  
• 
  Click the Driver tab, and then click
  Roll Back Driver.
  

Note: If you are logged on as a standard user, the button will be dimmed, which means it's unavailable. You must be logged on as an administrator to roll back a driver.

Synaptics touchpad settings goes to default in reboot/shut down

The driver which is causing problem is downloaded from windows 10 update section,if I roll back also windows will automatically download synaptics symbus driver v19.0.12.95. This driver version have this bug. I request windows please solve this as rolling out
a new update soon.

I am using windows 10,in windows updates windows installed latest synaptics toucpad drivers v19.0.12.95. Problem is evertime i customize settings of synaptics it automatically goes to default each time when i start my machine also in rebooting. Please
tell me what to do .

I also did a clean installation
