Windows 10: Sync of phone and desk top

My son synched my wife's phone and my desktop.

That is not working well.

HOW CAN I UNSYNC THEM

i recently purchased nokia lumia 520. in phone i installed PDF reader. from internet explorer i download pdf files. i installed windows phone app in desk top i attaced phone to computer only sync music videos not showing excel, pdf files photos only list

and also in explorer also only images video music only showing excel word pdf files not showing

why not listed all the things

I am having trouble saving files to my desk top. Example, I have a spreadsheet ready, file , save as and Desk top is not listed as a choice to save it. My Documents... not there. Where do I go to save the file to my desk top? Desk top is not in my Documents
