Windows 10: Synching iPod Devices in Windows 11 Home

I recently bought a Dell Inspiron 15 3000 laptop PC with the Windows 11 Home OS. Despite downloading the Apple and iTunes software from the Windows web site, I have been unable to synch the podcasts from iTunes to either an iPod Touch or an iPod shuffle. I was able to do this with a previous laptop running Windows 10. I have updated all the USB drivers, but still no success. iTunes "reads" from the iPods, but it does not "write" to them.

Trouble synching iPod with Windows 10

Hello, can anyone help resolve a problem synching an iPod with Windows 10? I bought a new Lenovo PC running Windows 10 six months ago. Until two months ago my Apple devices synched just fine to iTunes on the PC. Now whenever I attempt to synch the iPod,
the following message appears in iTunes "An iPod has been detected but it could not be identified properly. Please disconnect and reconnect the iPod, then try again." Oddly, my iPhone and iPad synch just fine as always. For a while, I thought the iPod itself
was the problem so I purchased a new one, only to have the same message in iTunes (now I have two iPods that don't work!). I've followed seemingly endless steps suggested by Apple and various forums, including the uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes, searching
to see that the latest Apple Mobile Device Driver is on my PC, checking that the latest updates of Windows 10 are on my PC, changing USB cords and outlets, etc. to no avail. I finally brought the devices to an Apple Genius bar last week, and they told me they
had seen this problem several times with Windows 10 but had no idea how to solve it since they believe it to be a Microsoft issue. All I can think is that Microsoft made some updates a few months ago that created this issue. I'm pretty mainstream with my various
devices so I have to believe there are a lot of folks out there with this problem. Appreciate any help!
