Windows 10: Syncing devices and files

Discus and support Syncing devices and files in Windows 10 Performance & Maintenance to solve the problem; It also only works on Windows 10 Pro (as far as I know).     It occurred to me that one possible Sync device (for the SyncCenter in Win10 Home) might be your phone: per a google search about Microsoft AtiveSync (You mentioning your Windows Phone got me to thinking about ActiverSync which I used years ago with a Windows Mobile PDA):

    "Vista users don't need this (activesync), as the new Sync Center handles all device communications."

    Anyway, I really doubt that your Windows phone would use sync center. Try plugging in your phone with USB and see if it shows up as a device in Sync Center... Just Curious...

    Wow! Just went and pulled out my ancient Dell Axim X30 Pocket PC with Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition from 2004.

    It connected and installed all the software and it did in fact show up in Sync Center on my Win10 "home" machine! It is connected by USB but there is also a bluetooth option, so to the OP, connect your phone and see if it shows up!

    Thanks very much for all the info, you are the first person to suggest I am heading up a blind alley with regard to Sync Centre on my Windows Home PC. It is worth knowing! I will try connecting my phone to the PC as you suggest, and let you know.
