Windows 10: Syncing Windows 10 Computer, Can no longer see/find files on first machine

I recently helped my dad set up a new computer which in turn synced my outlook.com account to his computer which was already in use on my home laptop. When I started up my laptop for the first time after doing this I cannot find any of my files. When I open File Explorer it is empty, no folders on the left pane or anywhere to select. I can find them if I search for them in the search menu but how do I get view of my files through File Explorer so I can navigate from folder to folder without typing in the destination every time?

• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Workgroup Windows 10 and XP machines no longer see each other

My 4 machine workgroup network, 2 XP and 2 Win 10 machines, was functioning fairly well until the recent "Creator" upgrade. Now the XP machines can no longer see the 10 machines and the 10 machines can't see the XP machines. The machines of the other OS are not listed. Would like to get the workgroup functional again. Have done multiple reboots and have run the suggested troubleshooters with no results. Have any ideas?

I would like to inform you that you can only synchronize themes, Web browser settings, Password, language preferences, Ease of access, Other Windows settings through sync your settings.

Follow the below steps to sync all this settings between two machines using same ID.

1. Click on the Start menu.

2. Select settings option.

3. Select Accounts.

4. Next select Sync your settings
from the list on the left side of the page.

5. Now make all the settings to Yes
to sync all the settings to your different computers.

Now related to files and folders synchronization, I suggest you to use OneDrive which will help you to synchronize files and folders in different computers using same ID. OneDrive helps you to save, share and synchronize
files and folders in different computers using the same ID.
