Windows 10: SysMain Causing 100% Disk Usage

I've a HP Pavilion g6, intel Core i5 3210M with 4GB RAM, and a Seagate Samsung Spinpoint M8 ST500LM012 500GB HDD. Its a 10 year old HDD. Recently, I discovered a option called ReadyBoost. I inserted my SD Card and formatted it to NTFS and used it for ReadyBoost. So far, I haven't seen much difference tbvh. Anyways, I opened task manager and saw that my HDD was going crazy 100% disk usage. I searched its reason which is SysMain (Superfetch). I disabled the service and then it plummeted. But then I was unable to use my SD Card for ReadyBoost because it requires SysMain to be active. What can I do? If I enable SysMain, my HDD goes crazy. If I disable it, I can't use my SD Card as an extra perk for performance. Btw I have increased paging file size on C and D drive (both of them have 100 gigs free space) for a min 2GB and max 4GB.

How do I stop my disk usage being at 100% on Windows 10? Below is what I've tried

• Changing Link Storage Technology in Intel Rapid Storage to be off
• Restarting or Disabling Windows Search service
• Restarting or Disabling Windows Superfetch or SysMain service
• DISM and SFC scans
• Checking for hard drive errors in CrystalDiskInfo
• Running programs as administrator
• Changing the security of backup programs and high disk usage programs to give my user all the permissions in the Properties
• Looking at Task Manager to find the cause (the processes listed don't add up to 99% or 100%)

I'm using Windows 10 20H2
Is there any other suggestions I can do?

 

100% disk usage

The most common cause of 100% disk usage appears to be Superfetch and Prefetch, but there are also other causes. You can try disabling both these features and see if it helps.

If I start Sysmain, the disk usage goes up to 100%. I then stop Sysmain and disk usage goes down.
