    Sysprep Clean 10586 Build

I'm having trouble creating a new clean image with Windows 10 1511 (build 10586). Here are my steps:

    1) Download the install using Media Creation Tool (10586) - save to USB drive
    2) Install Windows 10 (10586) on a test PC from USB drive
    3) At OOBE, CTRL-SHIFT-F3 to get into Audit Mode
    4) Once in Audi Mode, sysprep the machine using a basic answer file

Rebooting the machine after sysprep, and setting up a new user works fine. However, once at the desktop, if I launch Internet Explorer, websites hang all over the place, with flash elements not loading (example site: finance.google.com - click either the DOW or S&P 500 to bring up a chart - the chart never loads - and the page goes into recovery mode).

This kills my image - as I need IE11 for older sites - Edge works fine in this image.

If I create my image from Windows 10 RTM (10240), the problem isn't there - however I now have to upgrade the PC to 10586 each time I install on a new PC - which can take an hour or more depending on the internet speed and speed of the PC. Very inefficient.

Anyone having this problem, or able to duplicate my problems?

    :)

  3. sysprep broken on windows 10 build 10586

I am trying to sysprep After installing windows update 3136561, sysprep fails, with message that says "Sysprep was not able to validate your Windows installation. Review the log file a %WINDIR% \Ssytem 32\Sysprep\Panther\setupact.log for details.

I was able to run sysprep before installing update KB3136561, which changed the OS version to 10.0.10586

This is on windows 10, Enterprise.

The log says "spopk.dll : : Sysprep will not run on an upgraded OS. You can only run Sysprep on a custom (clean) install version of Windows."

This was a clean install, until KB3136561 did the upgrade to version 10.0.10586

    Sysprep Clean 10586 Build

Hi Sorry, but i just found your post after "googling" for the same issues i am having.

And we are not alone, i found several posts around the net about ppl complaining about several issues they found after SYSPREPing Windows 10 Threshold 2 (build 10586), and it does not matter if you're using Enterprise or Professional.

And if i may say this another nasty issue about the latest Windows version!!!

    And there's no solution yet!

We have the same issue....anyone have anything on this?

We did confirm that build 10586 does indeed cause the issue we are all seeing in IE. We did a build using Windows 10 Pro (build 10240) and no issues are reported. When the update for build 10586 is installed, the flash elements and Java do not work in IE. It basically crashes the browser and makes it completely not usable.

I think we are going to do our builds using the 10240 build and never apply Windows updates until this is figured out. This is not ideal, but we have to do something to move forward with upgrades and deployments.

It doesn't seem like there is much update on these threads, so hopefully someone sees this and could comment...
