Windows 10: Sysprep fails - Windows 10 build 10162

Hello Guys

I'm trying to sysprep a Windows 10 Enterprise build 10162 so that i can capture, but i'm getting some errors and hope you guys have some sort of solution.

I've tried removing The upgrade key in HKLM system, but that didn't help.

Kb3069068 has an error and appears not to install, with result that Update 10162 does not install.

In your answer you said...

"You may want to try the new ISO which is updated with the latest build 10162 to make a clean installation and check if this helps. If you don't have many programs installed, a clean install might be a good choice."

I did this from a DVD I made from the ISO.. The outcome was the effort failed with the error message...

"Error 0xC1900101-0x30018

Install failed in FIRST_BOOT phase with error during sysprep operation."

This was at the 32% point of installation and the machine shut down. The original build, 10130, was then reinstalled.

 

Windows 10 Build 10162 (Windows Insider Program)

Was Windows 10 Build 10162 deactivated???

Can I install Windows 10 Build 10162 if it was deactivated?

 

Hi THMO, welcome to the Ten Forums.

Please post the following:

• Is the 10162 Enterprise a clean install or an upgrade? I assume it's an upgrade, why else had you needed to remove the upgrade registry key.
• If clean install are you using Sysprep in Audit Mode prior to creating any users accounts, in Audit Mode after creating user accounts, or in normal mode?
• If an upgrade install, do you run Sysprep in Audit Mode or in normal mode?
• The exact Sysprep command you used with all switches
• The answer file you used if any (zip it and attach to your post, edit only to remove any personal confidential information)
• The C:\Windows\System32\Sysprep\Panther\Setupact.log file, zip it and attach to your post instead of just copy & pasting the text
