System acts as if I don't have enough memory

Hello,Since Saturday after a Windows update, I've been getting constant crashing and errors on my browser and applications as if I don't have enough memory. In fact, webpages on Google Chrome will crash giving the "not enough memory" error and applications such as Discord and Telegram will close and reopen themselves as if I didn't have enough memory to run them. I downloaded and ran memtest86 which passed, meaning it is not a hardware issue, I ran a sfc/scannow command in administrator, and I've tried uninstalling the Windows update but none of these seem to have fixed anything.I've tried mon

  2. System Reserved Memory issue

    Hi Rowan,

The reduction in available system memory depends on the configuration of the following:

    • The devices that are installed in the computer and the memory that is reserved by those devices
    • The ability of the motherboard to handle memory
    • The system BIOS version and settings
    • The version of Windows 10 that is installed
    • Other system settings

As an initial troubleshooting step, I suggest that you check your system for memory problems.

    Here's how:

    • Type mdsched.exe in the search bar and select the best match.
    • When prompted by the User Account Control, enter an admin user name and password, and click
      Yes.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to run it.

Let us know how it goes.

  3. Choice of memory and motherboard... a bit stuck...

No one who got some suggestions on this one, huh?

I've found out that the Asus M3A78-T needs to be flashed, so then that motherboard is excluded from my list. Which motherboard and memory should I then go for? Any suggestions?

AMD A10-6800K 4.1GHz Quad Core Overclocking possibility

Thanks, have heard this before...is their a step by step procedure to OC using the bios settings you suggest.
i don’t intend pushing this to its limit...but some increase would be great, any suggestions on a good air cooler ?

    thanks
