Windows 10: System asking for Activation, despite being previously activated.

I built a new system about a year ago, bought my Windows 11 CD from Newegg when I got the hardware as well.Everything went fine, activation successful.About a month ago, there was a windows update that messed it up apparently, and ever since then I'm getting the notification to Activate Windows.A slmgr /dlv gives me:

The issue still remains unresolved, as English (Australia) simply does not show up in the list despite following all suggested steps to date (which I had done previously)

When you re-install Windows 10, it should self-activate, there should be no need to enter a Product key, it should self-activate form the Microsoft Activation servers . ..

Have you already re-installed Windows 10?

If not:

Since you previously had Windows 10 installed and activated on that PC during the installation process skip the steps which ask for a product key and select the option 'I am Reinstalling Windows 10 on this PC', and activation will not be an issue, your PC will
have a digital entitlement stored on the Microsoft Activation Servers

If you have already re-installed Windows 10 and that is showing an activation error, the general cause of this is that a different edition (Home, Pro . . etc.) has been installed, that does not match the previously installed edition

Open the Settings App

Go to System - About

Does the Edition listed there match the previously installed Edition?

 

XP Activation issues

if the key was once activated (as in your case) then you will have to call microsoft and they have you do a series of steps to obtain a product number that they then can assign a key for...if the system hasnt changed since activation then it shouldnt be a problem, xcept that the person you will talk to from microsoft will be really hard to understand...when you talk to them you'll know what i mean..
