  1. System Broke - SOS

A while ago I was installing Puppy Linux on my Windows XP, but eventually I wanted to delete it, so I deleted “menu.last” and the OS files, but turns out that was a wrong delete. It eventually became so that I think the only solution is to format the system again I don’t have any data on it, so I don’t care if that goes away, problem is, when I boot, it shows the Toshiba logo PC is a Toshiba NB205, and then goes to a error message because of the wrong delete, so I figured the only way would be to format from the BIOS, and I have no idea how to do that. I’ve been looking all over the web

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

    Hi,

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.

Method 1: Try updating the Video card drivers and check if it helps.

Follow the steps to update the Video card driver:

    • Press Windows Key + X key and click Device Manager.
    • Expand ‘Display Adapters’.
    • Right-click on the Video card listed and click on ‘Update Driver Software’.

Method 2: Try installing the game in Compatibility mode and check.

Follow the steps to install in Compatibility mode:

    • Right click the Game setup file and select Properties then tap or click the Compatibility tab.
    • Place a check in the Run this program in compatibility mode for: box.
    • Tap or click the drop down box and select a previous operating system, then tap or click OK.
    • Try installing the Game and check.

If still the issue persist then I suggest you to follow the suggestion provided by crazzilla replied on August 3, 2015 from the below link and check if it helps.
