Windows 10: System cannot find path

I opened my laptop to see a blue screen with weird options and it won’t boot. There is no option to reset the computer so I have been trying to do it to through the boot bcd. I get all the way till the end when it asks “Add installation to boot list?” When I click yes it says cannot find the path specified. I have tried everything please help me boot my pc I have files on there I cannot lose!

what exactly do you need to decipher about that path line? also, what are you installing? perhaps i can help.

Yeah, I think you're right. I think the purpose of the echo command was to check if ~/bin was in the $PATH file. My problem is that I can't decipher the output and I don't know how to add ~/bin to the $PATH file.

Just for clarification, the snippet of instructions I gave is just a few steps in the installation process. Nothing is actually supposed to be installed with those steps.

If you wanted to start thinking about using Powershell, here's a starter for 10:

It looks as though you could simply define $INCLUDE as you wish.


Then there's pathed which appears to support including semicolon separated lists.
