    System Error 0x8000fff


    Hi,


    I bought a pc today and set it up for the first time with a trial period for microsoft 365 family. It has confirmed that I am registered but as soon as I try to log into Excel, Word, Powerpoint it has asked for me to confirm my email address and then generates an error message as in the above subject.


    How can I fix this.

    Windows 10 updates error is 0x8000fff and error is 0x8007007e

    Windows 10 updates 1709 and 1803 continue to fail. 1709 error is 0x8000fff and 1803 error is 0x8007007e. Have run the troubleshooter three times and nothing seems to work.

    I have it set up to do automatic updates but these continue to fail along with 2 Adobe Flash player updates.

    Suggestions?

    Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3093266) - Error 0x8000fff

    The update 3093266 keeps failing with error 0x8000fff (3 fs) and sometimes 0x8000ffff (4 fs).

    How do I get the update installed?
